I was ecstatic when i got my first job! I still remember being a newbie in a place,were i dint know anybody or anything,but somehow i survived my first day at my job! I traveled by the metro everyday to work! My 1.5 hr commute seemed so long as i was all by myself!I was one among the thousands who took this train to work everyday! Crowded trains,people pushing,rushing and shoving and having a blank stare on their face...everything seemed so fast paced! I felt i was kinda lost amidst this!
Then one fine day, as i was trying to get a seat , a man in his 70s offered me a seat next to him.. I was ecstatic as i knew this was the same person who had a flock of young girls and guys with him every time i saw him..He was like a pied piper.. always sharing his bottle of wine that he got with him every single day ,having loud funny conversations and had a broad smile on his face every time anyone saw him! Little did i know that i would be a part of this lovely group sharing my days highlights ,talking about my country, our culture and just about everything! I met different kinds of people everyday..from a airplane pilot to a police officer and others who worked in one or other federal agency ! It was so much fun listening to their stories and their lives! I am so happy and grateful that my commute which seemed so long now seems like a joyous fun ride :) Having a cup of wine with happy cheerful people after a tiring day of work is nothing short of eternal bliss,heheh ;)!
